Field Service Representative (FSR)

Purpose:
  • An FSR typically completes projects within a geographic area surrounding their home. Depending upon the geographic location of the FSR, projects include; collecting product information, auditing, and light merchandising services in grocery stores, mass merchandise stores, convenience stores, drug stores, liquor stores, computer stores, home improvement stores, and many other types of retail outlets.
Schedule:
  • The FSR position is a regular part-time position usually averaging 12-20 hours per week depending upon the weekly workload in the FSR’s geographic area. Projects are normally completed between Monday-Friday during business hours. This position offers a flexible schedule.
Collection Equipment:
  • The majority of projects are completed on a modified laptop computer called a MONet device with some projects collected on paper or through an IVR System (Interactive Voice Response i.e. Phone).
Store Relationships:
  • Many projects require that the FSR interact with store management and/or personnel to ask permission to be in the store or certain parts of the store and to request the location of items or other information. FSRs are required to maintain a positive relationship with the store personnel.
Physical Requirements:
  • FSRs must be able to bend, stretch, stoop, lift up to 25 pounds, and stand for up to five hours at a time.
Training:
  • There is a four to six week initial paid training period which includes both instructional and on-the-job training in the FSR’s local area with a Field Manager and Sr. FSR. In addition, there is on-going training as new projects are introduced.
